Several law enforcement agencies helped arrest an alleged armed drug dealer Tuesday who was accused of changing the vehicle identification number on a stolen Dodge Charger to conceal its identity in Macon, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Damion Jarrod Tuff, 28, allegedly stole the muscle car from DeKalb County and had a “re-VIN or flip VIN to hide the true identity of the vehicle,” the sheriff’s office said on Facebook Wednesday.

When Tuff was arrested, officers allegedly found over 2 pounds of fentanyl and several guns in the Charger, the Facebook post said. Federal, state and local investigators helped arrest him around 4 p.m. Tuesday, at a house off Rocky Creek Road, according to Chace Ambrose, a spokesperson for the BCSO.

“Agents seized over a kilo of Fentanyl en route to the suspect,” deputies said on Facebook.

Officers allegedly found handguns, a Draco AK47 rifle, an “AR pistol,” which functions like a rifle, ammunition and magazines in the Charger, deputies said. They also found marijuana and a reportedly stolen Honda 450 dirtbike.

The 28-year-old was booked in the Bibb County Jail and did not have bond by Thursday morning, according to its log of incarcerated people.

Tuff was charged with criminal attempt to commit a felony, possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies, and felony theft by receiving stolen property, the log said.

The BCSO’s drug and gang units, Georgia State Patrol troopers, Georgia Bureau of Investigation Middle Georgia Gang Task Force and federal agents collaborated on the investigation.

Officials didn’t immediately provide an incident report providing more information on the incident.
