Officers found a dead woman and an unresponsive man in a Warner Robins home during a welfare check Wednesday, according to the Warner Robins Police Department.

Police responded to the home after 7 a.m. on the 100 block of Kay Drive, in a neighborhood off Watson Boulevard, a news release from WRPD said.

Officers entered the home and found a woman dead “on the floor,” the release said. Police described her as a victim and did not immediately release her name.

A man was “found inside the bedroom unresponsive,” the WRPD said. He was taken to a local hospital and his conditions were unclear by 11:30 a.m.

He was not described as a suspect. Police identified him as an “involved/other” party in the news release.

The WRPD’s Criminal Investigations Division responded to the home and investigated the scene, according to Lt. Patrick Allen.

The police department called the case a “death investigation.”

Allen urged anyone with related details to call Detective Conner Milam at 478-302-5380, or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.

Allen and Mandy Stella, the city clerk, said they couldn’t provide more information about the welfare check, the identities of the man and woman, or other circumstances surrounding the incident.

“This investigation is at its early stages and no other information at this time is going to be released until an update is provided at a later time,” Allen told The Telegraph in an email.

Milam didn’t respond to The Telegraph’s requests for comment.
