Macon deputies seek help finding armed robbery suspect from New Year’s Eve

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office wants the public’s help to find a suspect related to an armed robbery at a Macon clothing store.

The incident happened before 6:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve at Citi Trends, 3880 Pio Nono Avenue, deputies said in a news release.

A masked person reportedly “entered the business and demanded money,” deputies said. “The suspect fled the business with an undisclosed amount of cash.”

Surveillance photos provided by the sheriff’s office showed the suspect walking into the store in a black hooded jacket with “USA” on the front and dark pants.

No one was injured, the sheriff’s office said.

“Anyone with information about this incident or knows the identity of the suspect is urged to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 or the Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME,” deputies said in a news release.
