16-year-old girl shot in chest over the weekend, Bibb County deputies say
A 16-year-old girl suffered a gunshot wound in her chest early Saturday morning, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of Pittman Street for a report of a person shot just after 1 p.m. on Saturday, the sheriff’s office said in a news release. They found out the teenager was shot, but she was transported to a medical facility in a personal vehicle.
The victim was treated for the injuries and was in stable condition, the sheriff’s office said Monday.
