Suspect robs a Macon food mart at gunpoint, investigators say
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect accused of robbing the Lucky Food Mart on Main Street at gunpoint, investigators said Sunday.
The robbery happened just before 7 p.m. Sunday, the sheriff’s office said in a news release. The suspect was described as a male wearing coveralls and a ski mask.
“It was reported that an individual entered the business brandishing a firearm and demanding money,” the sheriff’s office said in a news release. “The suspect fled the business on foot in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries reported.”
The sheriff’s office said the incident was under investigation and more information would be released as it became available.
