A 65-year-old man was arrested in downtown Macon Saturday for allegedly burglarizing multiple businesses in the area, according to a Tuesday news release.

Deputies from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a “suspicious male” in the 500 block of Cherry Street Saturday evening. They arrested Raymond Lester Andrews Jr. and, after some investigation, connected him to burglaries on Oct. 15 and Nov. 12 at Fatty’s Pizza, the release said.

Andrews is also allegedly connected to an Oct. 19 burglary at Your Pie Pizza and a Sept. 11 burglary at Fall Line Brewing Co, deputies said. All three businesses are located downtown.

Andrews was charged with three counts of felony second degree burglary. He is being held without bond.

The release said the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 or the Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
