Boyfriend accused of chasing, shooting at girlfriend in Macon, deputies say

A man was arrested after being accused of chasing and shooting his girlfriend’s vehicle Sunday in Macon, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said.

Eric Duane Glover, 42, was allegedly in his vehicle chasing the woman’s vehicle while she reported the incident to 911 after 2 a.m., the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

“While still on the call with dispatch (she) reported he was firing shots at her vehicle,” deputies said.

Then, deputies pulled over the two vehicles at the intersection of Napier and Pio Nono avenues.

Deputies identified and arrested Glover at the scene, the sheriff’s office said.

They found a gun with an extended magazine, which stores more bullets in a gun than the standard amount, a news release said.

Glover was booked in the Bibb County Jail and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, reckless conduct, discharging a firearm on or near a highway or street, and criminal damage to property, according to the sheriff’s office.

He was being held without bond.

No one was injured in the incident, deputies said.
