Woman injured in Macon shooting, man faces assault charge, deputies say

A man has been arrested in a Macon shooting that left a woman seriously injured Thursday, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to a home in the 4000 block of San Juan Avenue just after 11:30 p.m. Thursday, and found a 43-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office. The victim was taken to a local hospital, the sheriff’s office said.

Tony Denard Daniels, 41, was identified as the suspect and arrested, according to the sheriff’s office. He was charged with aggravated assault and held without bond Friday morning.

“According to medical staff, the victim is currently in critical but stable condition,” the sheriff’s office said Friday morning.
