21-year-old man arrested in Macon gas station shooting that wounded three

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man who allegedly shot three young men at a gas station in south Macon, they said in a news release.

Deputies took Khaleel Maurice Taylor, 21, into custody Sunday afternoon. at a convenience store inside the 2400 block of Rocky Creek Road. He faces two charges of aggravated assault, stemming from a shooting on Aug. 1 at a Chevron station at 1106 Rocky Creek Road after midnight, where three young men were wounded, deputies said.

Taylor is being held without bond.

On the night of the shooting, deputies found a 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old man. They were later taken by paramedics to a medical facility for treatment, according to deputies.

A 22-year-old man also suffered a gunshot wound, but he drove himself to the hospital, deputies said.

The three victim’s injuries were non-life threatening.
