A victim sustained injuries and a suspect was arrested following a shooting Sunday night on Figston Run, according to a news release from the Perry Police Department.

The police department responded to a report of a shooting on Sunday just before 7 p.m. in the 100 block of Figston Run, officers said in their news release. When police arrived, they found a victim with injuries. Emergency Medical Services was called to transport them to a hospital for treatment.

The victim’s status was unclear Monday.

A suspect, identified as Alec Bloodworth, 22, was taken into custody. He faces aggravated assault and gun possession during commission of a felony charges, according to the Perry Police Department.

“This incident is believed to be domestic-related,” the police department said in their news release. “There is no ongoing threat to the public at this time.”
