28-year-old hospitalized after west Macon shooting, deputies investigate

A man was severely injured after a shooting Sunday in west Macon, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said.

It happened just before 10 a.m. on the 1800 block of Crystal Lake Circle, which is in a neighborhood off Chambers Road.

A 28-year-old man was shot and taken on an ambulance to a local hospital, where he was listed in “critical condition,” the sheriff’s office said.

An investigation into the alleged aggravated assault was “in its early stages” Sunday afternoon, deputies said.
