Forsyth Chick-fil-A worker arrested, accused of sexual battery against coworker
A Chick-fil-A employee was arrested Monday after he was accused of sexual battery in Forsyth, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said the victim was a coworker. The employees worked at the Chick-fil-A at 101 Industrial Park Road in Forsyth.
Kevin Kurtz, a 54-year-old Jackson man, was charged with sexual battery and held in the Monroe County Jail without bond, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
Deputies started investigating the case in July, public information officer Anna Watkins said.
The case was still under investigation Tuesday.
The sheriff’s office did not share other details about the case.
Chick-fil-A responds
Kurtz was placed on unpaid leave, according to a spokesperson for Chick-fil-A.
“The safety of our team members and guests is our utmost priority,” the spokesperson told The Telegraph.
They declined to provide further comment.
