Inmate stabbed, hospitalized in ‘altercation’ at Bibb County Jail, deputies say
A incarcerated person was stabbed at the Bibb County Jail on Wednesday morning, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, which runs the jail.
The man was stabbed during a “physical altercation” with another detainee, Deputy Alexis Mitchell-White said.
The injured detainee had non-life-threatening injuries, Mitchell-White said.
He was taken to a local medical facility, where he was listed in stable condition, she said.
The sheriff’s office was still investigating the incident Wednesday evening.
