A teenager was severely injured in a shooting in Warner Robins Wednesday night, the Warner Robins Police Department said.

An 18-year-old boy was allegedly a victim of aggravated assault, officers said in a news release.

A person reported to police that someone was shot around 7:45 p.m. at a shopping plaza at 154 South Houston Lake Road, officers said in a news release.

Police responded to the scene and found the teen “with a single gunshot wound,” the news release said.

He was taken to a local hospital and listed in critical condition, WRPD said.

It was unclear if the teen was still hospitalized Thursday morning or if a suspect was arrested.

The WRPD’s Criminal Investigative Division was investigating the shooting. Police urged anyone with details related to the incident to call Detective Elizabeth Smith at 478-302-5380, or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
