Man killed woman, self in Warner Robins, police say

A man shot a woman dead, then killed himself, in Warner Robins on Wednesday, according to the Warner Robins Police Department.

A person called 911, then hung up, prompting officers to conduct a welfare check, a news release from the police department stated.

The 911 call came in around 6:30 p.m. and “found the male in the backyard deceased with a gunshot wound,” and a woman inside the home, also dead from a gunshot wound.

Officers are investigating the incident as a murder-suicide, a news release said.

Police described the man as a suspect and victim, and the woman as a victim.

The police department did not release their names or other identifying details.

The WRPD Criminal Investigations Division and identification criminalists responded to the scene to investigate.
