Two minors were injured in a shooting in Forsyth over the weekend, according to the Forsyth Police Department.

Police responded to a “firearm-related incident” Friday around 11:30 p.m. at the Forsyth Gardens Apartments, located at 500 Cabiness Road. Police said when they got to the scene, they found a male suffering from gunshot wounds and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police said they found out a second victim, another male who was a minor, showed up at the hospital with gunshot wounds too. The two were “confirmed to be acquaintances,” police said.

“Preliminary investigation indicates that an argument between the two individuals led to gunfire, resulting in injuries to both parties,” police said in a news release shared to Facebook.

Police said a third suspect was identified but they weren’t injured in the incident. Charges were pending, police said.

Anyone with information was encouraged to contact Forsyth police at 478-993-1005.
