Three incarcerated men have been charged in connection with a stabbing that occurred inside a Macon prison in February, Joan Heath, the director of communications at the Georgia Department of Corrections, said Wednesday.

David Woodard, Jeremy Smith and Anthony Enriquez, who were housed at Central State Prison in Macon, were charged with unlawful acts of violence in a penal institution and aggravated assault, according to arrest warrants from April 11.

The charges stemmed from an incident in which Woodard, Smith and Enriquez allegedly stabbed another inmate multiple times with a homemade edged weapon between noon and 1 p.m. on Feb. 12, the warrants say.

Heath has not provided any more information about the inmates.
