Deputies seek owners of items stolen from storage units in Bibb, Monroe counties
A man accused of stealing several items from storage units across Middle Georgia has been arrested, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators were searching Monday for the owners of a range of stolen items, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
The Monroe and Bibb County sheriff’s offices found “a quantity of suspected methamphetamine along with items belonging to other individuals” at 195 Gibson Road in Macon, according to a news release from Monroe County deputies.
James Robert Moore, 40, was arrested around 10 a.m. and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was being held in at the Monroe County Jail without bond, and more charges were pending, deputies said.
Deputies urged anyone whose belongings have been stole from storage units in Middle Georgia to call the sheriff’s office at 478-994-7011, or investigators at 478-994-7043. The sheriff’s office is also reachable via Facebook, Instagram or the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office app, where users can remain anonymous.
The case was still under investigation Monday afternoon.
