Russian roulette claims life of Macon teen
An 18-year-old Macon man died Tuesday morning after he was seriously wounded in a game of Russian roulette at Wilshire Woods Apartments.
Quintin Jackson was pronounced dead just before 10:50 a.m. at the Medical Center, Navicent Health, said Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.
“This is an accidental death, not a suicide,” Jones said.
Just after 4 p.m. Monday, Jackson was with two friends outside Building Q at 2560 Rocky Creek Road.
He emptied bullets out of a handgun and put one back in the chamber, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Jackson pointed the gun at himself and pulled the trigger twice before the gun fired, hitting Jackson in the head, the release said.
One of his friends called 911 and Jackson was rushed to Medical Center, Navicent Health, where he was initially listed in critical condition.
Anyone with information is asked to leave a message for a Bibb County sheriff’s investigator at 478-751-7500.
