2nd suspect arrested months after fatal shooting in Macon, deputies say
A 20-year-old was arrested Tuesday, seven months after he allegedly murdered a man and injured a teen in Macon, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office announced.
The wanted suspect, Davian Nayshuan Forney of Macon, was one of two young adults arrested in the case.
A tip from Crimestoppers helped authorities arrest Forney at a Milledgeville home just before 1 p.m. Tuesday, deputies said in a news release. The United States Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office executed an arrest warrant and detained him without incident.
Forney was charged with murder and aggravated assault, and held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center without bond, the sheriff’s office said.
Devin DeLoach, 18, was the first suspect arrested and charged with murder on Nov. 26, 2024.
DeLoach and Forney were allegedly involved in a shooting that injured a 17-year-old boy, and killed 23-year-old Dontavious Ryshaun of Milledgeville, The Telegraph previously reported. The incident happened on Sept. 30, 2024, near the intersection of Wallace Road and Johnson Street.
