Man critically injured in south Macon neighborhood shooting, deputies say
A man was shot in a south Macon neighborhood Monday night, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies were dispatched to a 911 call regarding a person shot just before 7:30 p.m. in the 3400 block of Houston Avenue.
They found a 44-year-old man “suffering from a gunshot wound,” a news release from the sheriff’s office said.
Paramedics responded and took him to a medical facility where he was listed in “critical, but stable condition,” deputies said.
The aggravated assault was still under investigation Tuesday morning. The sheriff’s office did not release other details.
