The victim of a shooting in a Warner Robins home died Tuesday, authorities said.

The Warner Robins Police Department responded to a call regarding shots fired at 100 Buford Drive on the evening of March 28, where they found the victim, Shaquez Head, 21, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Witnesses were present as well.

He was then transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. Head died as a result of the injuries sustained in the shooting on Tuesday, police confirmed.

Although two suspects were named during the investigation, officials determined that Nicholas Jenkins, 22, was arrested. Jenkins and the other suspect went to the house where Jenkins is accused of shooting Head and fleeing the scene. He was arrested shortly after the incident, police said.

The other suspect was arrested, but was then released after investigators concluded that he “was not part of or had any knowledge of the crime that was going to occur,” police said.

Jenkins is charged with homicide, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
