Forsyth 18-year-old arrested in alleged school shooting threat. FBI traced her social media
A Fort Valley teenager was recently arrested after being accused of posting a school shooting threat on social media, the Peach County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday.
The FBI found a “school shooting threat” on Instagram that seemed to target one person in particular, according to an incident report.
Zaniah Arreonia Renie Williams, 18, allegedly said she would give someone $3,000 to shoot a specific person, Deputy Jonathan Sanchez said in the incident report.
The FBI tracked down Williams’ username, address, drivers license number, phone numbers and other social media accounts. The FBI sent this information to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, which notified the sheriff’s office.
Williams was arrested at her trailer home in Ventura Park in northeast Forsyth on Feb. 27, an incident report said. She was not a student, deputies said.
Williams was charged as an adult with one count of criminal solicitation, according to the sheriff’s office.
