Public tip helps arrest wanted man in Macon months after alleged murder, deputies say
A wanted man was arrested Thursday, two months after an alleged murder in east Macon, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said.
Crimestoppers received a tip that helped them track down the suspect, Rickey Terrell Parks Jr., deputies said in a news release.
The U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force followed up on the tip and arrested Parks around 1:30 p.m. Thursday near Flewellyn Drive in Macon, deputies said.
He allegedly shot and killed Kyle Alexander Brown, 31, on Jan. 26 in the 3900 block of Hattie Drive.
Parks was charged with murder and held without bond at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
