Sparta man arrested in summer rape in Macon

A 34-year-old Sparta man faces rape and aggravated sodomy charges in a sexual assault in east Macon last July.

Kristopher John Roberson, who lives in the 9000 block of Ga. 16, was arrested Friday afternoon, according to Bibb County jail records.

Roberson is accused of picking up a female at about 7:20 p.m. on July 26 and taking her behind a vacant house near the end of Magnolia Drive, which runs off Jeffersonville Road, according to an arrest warrant.

Roberson allegedly pulled a knife on her and forced her to perform multiple sex acts, the warrant stated.
