Shooting at house party leaves 1 injured, hospitalized in Perry. Police seek tips
A man was shot during a party at a mobile home Sunday in Perry, according to the Perry Police Department.
Officers were notified of “shots fired at the residence” around 4:30 a.m. at 1319 Houston Street in a neighborhood off Houston Lake Road, a news release from the police department said.
Police were told a 33-year-old man was shot multiple times “during (a) party in the front yard of the residence,” Captain James “Jason” Jones told The Telegraph.
The victim was taken in a private vehicle to Perry Hospital, then “treated for injuries” at Atrium Health Navicent hospital, police said.
Police did not identify or arrest a suspect as of Monday afternoon, Jones confirmed.
The police department’s criminal investigations division was still investigating the shooting.
