2 hospitalized after shooting in Warner Robins, police say. Homes, cars damaged.
A teenager and young adult were injured and hospitalized after a shooting Tuesday night in Warner Robins, according to the Warner Robins Police Department.
When police first received report of the shooting around 8:45 p.m. on Oak Grove Road and Reid Street, officers were only notified of multiple homes and vehicles being shot at, according to a news release from the police department.
While they investigated the incident, a 911 call revealed that two victims “involved in the incident” were shot in the leg, police said. They were 17 and 20 years old.
They were taken to a local hospital for treatment and listed in stable condition, WRPD said.
The police department’s Criminal Investigations Division and identification criminalists investigated the scene “due to the nature of the incident,” police said.
The shooting was still under investigation Wednesday afternoon. Anyone with related information was urged to call Detective Elizabeth Smith at 478-302-5380, or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.
