Man found dead behind home after west Macon shooting, sheriff’s office investigates
A man was shot to death in a west Macon neighborhood Sunday night, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies were dispatched to a 911 call about a man shot around 7:30 p.m. on the 1300 block of Ernest Street, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
They found 41-year-old Reginald Sherard Kendrick of Macon “unresponsive in the backyard, suffering from a gunshot wound,” the release said.
Paramedics arrived to treat Kendrick’s injuries but Deputy Coroner Richard Robinson pronounced him dead at the scene. Family was notified of his death.
Nobody else was injured and no one was arrested as of Monday morning, deputies said.
