Shooting in west Macon leaves 1 in critical condition, sheriff’s office investigates
A woman was severely injured during a shooting in west Macon Saturday, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched regarding shots fired around 1 p.m. within the 3700 block of Log Cabin Drive and Pike Street, a news release from the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies were told that the victim, a 58-year-old, was shot and taken via ambulance to a medical facility, according to the news release. She was listed in critical condition and family was notified.
Deputies were still investigating what led to the shooting Monday. They did not release details on a suspect.
