Suspect found dead after he allegedly killed a woman in Crawford County, deputies say

A suspect died by suicide Wednesday, weeks after a woman he allegedly murdered was found dead, according to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.

Timothy Lamar Crow, 52, was found dead in Rockdale County after the US Marshals Service “ended up in a standoff with Crow,” on Wednesday, deputies said in a media release.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation had secured warrants for Crow on charges of felony murder, malice murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm or knife during commission of or attempt to commit certain crimes.

Callie Brooke Goolsby was found dead on Smith Chapel Road in Crawford County on Aug. 8, deputies said.

The GBI and Crawford County Sheriff’s Office were still investigating the case Thursday.
