Suspect pulled gun on clerks at Macon store, fled on foot. Sheriff’s office investigating
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a suspect accused of pulling a gun on a store clerk at a local Family Dollar.
The suspect was unsuccessful in his attempt to rob the store at 2584 Rocky Creek Road at 11:34 a.m. Thursday, the sheriff’s office said in a news release. He entered the store wearing a mask and “brandished a firearm at a store clerk,” the sheriff’s office said.
The store clerks fled from the store unharmed, the sheriff’s office said. The suspect didn’t get anything from behind the register and fled on foot towards Bloomfield Road.
The sheriff’s office described the suspect as a tall male wearing a black hoodie, a face mask, pants with white stripes and gray shoes.
