2 men arrested after a man was shot inside a Macon business, sheriff’s office says
Officials say two suspects have been arrested by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office’s Gang Unit in connection with a shooting that took place inside a liquor store on Eisenhower Parkway.
The victim was found Monday at 1090 Eisenhower Parkway, Unit A, the sheriff’s office said. Deputies found the 57-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound at the scene. Paramedics treated him and took him to a hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
After further investigation, it was reported that an armed masked man entered the business while another man held the automatic locked door open before running away.
Deputies said the armed man shot the victim and took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing on foot.
The suspects were identified as Travis Warren, 46, and Andre Willis III, 31.
Both men have been charged with aggravated assault and armed robbery, pending further charges, and were being held without bond.
The circumstances surrounding the incident were still under investigation Tuesday. More information was expected to be released as it became available.
