Woman attacks JC Penney store employee with needle-nose pliers

A woman accused of taking clothing from the JC Penney store at Macon Mall allegedly attacked a store employee with needle-nose pliers Wednesday morning when the employee tried to stop her from leaving, according to Macon police.

Barbara Ann Wright, 39, of Milledgeville, is charged with aggravated assault, shoplifting and criminal trespass, according to Bibb County jail records.

The employee suffered a cut to his upper back and abrasions on the front of his chest.

Wright had previously been banned from the property, according to a police report.
