Bibb jury acquits Fla. man of vehicular homicide charges

A Bibb County jury has acquitted a Florida man of vehicular homicide charges following a two-day trial, according to the Bibb County District Attorney’s Office.

Dennis Berry, 56, of Old Town, Fla., was found not guilty Wednesday.

He was accused of killing a road construction worker working in a cordoned off area of the emergency lane on Interstate 75 South near the Interstate 475 interchange Jan. 24, 2008, when he lost control of his car, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
