Two women arrested in 2008 spa raid in plead guilty in Bibb state court

Two women arrested as a part of a 2008 police massage parlor raid entered guilty pleas Friday in Bibb County State Court.

Hee Sook Shim-Lee, 40, pleaded guilty to prostitution and was sentenced to pay a $500 fine and serve a year on probation, said Assistant State Court Solicitor Rebecca Grist.

Chung Lee Lui, 69, pleaded guilty to keeping a house of prostitution and was sentenced to pay a $1,000 fine and serve a year on probation, she said.

The maximum sentence for both women would have been a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.

Both women were arrested in a June raid at Palm Tree Spa, 3096 Riverside Drive. Lui was initially charged with keeping a house of prostitution and Shim-Lee was charged with solicitation of prostitution and masturbation for hire.MA
