Macon teenager shot dead on Sherry Drive in Warner Robins July 4, police say

A Macon teenager died in Warner Robins Tuesday night after a shooting near North Houston Road west of Robins Air Force Base, officials said.

Police found Ormand Humphrey, 19, in the street at the intersection of Sherry Drive and Stevens Street in Warner Robins at about 11 p.m. Tuesday, according to a press release from the Warner Robins Police Department.

EMS took Humphrey to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. His next of kin were notified.

Investigators believe Humphrey was shot from a car while he was walking down the street, according to the WRPD statement. No other information was available Wednesday morning in the ongoing investigation.
