Two Macon youths in critical condition after shooting in Tindall Fields community

A shooting in the Tindall Fields community in Macon Tuesday night left two teenagers critically wounded, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

The shooting happened at about 8:45 p.m. Tuesday on the 1700 block of Campbell Avenue just off Little Richard Penniman Boulevard. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found two teenage boys with gunshot wounds.

The two youths went to a local hospital, where they remain in critical condition.

One teenager, 16, was hit in the neck, while the other, 15, was hit in the torso, the statement said.

There was no information on a suspect in the statement, nor a potential motivation.

The shooting is still under investigation and further details were unavailable, the sheriff’s office said.
