Macon woman dies after shooting in Warner Robins, police searching for second victim

The Warner Robins Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one woman dead Thursday morning.

Around 12:46 a.m. Thursday, Warner Robins police officers responded to the 100 block of Wallace Drive near Deloris Toliver Park.

According to a report from the Warner Robins Police Department, a caller had told dispatchers that “two vehicles were driving around crashing into each other” and that someone had been shot and was lying on the ground.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers detained a male suspect and gave medical aid to a female victim.

According to a press release, another man who is also a victim in the incident was not at the scene and has not yet been located or identified by the Warner Robins Police Department.

The female victim had been shot and was taken to a local hospital, where she later died.

Houston County Coroner James Williams identified the victim as 30-year-old Macon resident Christy Fisher.

He said Fisher’s body is being sent to the GBI office in Macon for an autopsy.

The Warner Robins Police Department stated that the shooting did not take place at 106 Wallace Drive and was “initiated at other locations.”

The department is actively investigating the incident and said they will release further information as the investigation continues.
