3 Macon teens shot dead in late-night shooting on city’s west side; fourth teen wounded

Three Macon teenagers were shot and killed and a fourth was critically wounded early Tuesday in gunfire at an apartment complex on the city’s west side, officials said.

The shootings happened about 1:30 a.m. at building 10 at the West Club Apartments at 159 Steven Drive, which runs between Mercer University Drive and Columbus Road.

It was not immediately clear what prompted the incident, which raised the county’s homicide toll for the year to 65 victims.

One of the slain youths, Marcelles Williams, 16, died at the scene, Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said.

Two other victims, Jahryon Willis, 18, and Tishoun Williams, 18, were later pronounced dead at a local hospital, Jones said.

A fourth gunshot victim, a 14-year-old boy, was said to be in critical condition.
