27-year-old woman shot and killed on Log Cabin Drive in Macon early Saturday morning

A 27-year-old woman was shot and killed early Saturday morning, according to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.

Gabrilla Harris was shot just before 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning at the Windy Hill Manor Apartments located at 4151 Log Cabin Drive in Macon.

Harris was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead from multiple gunshot wounds just after 1:30 a.m.

On May 25, the sheriff’s office announced investigators had charged 28-year-old Corey Deshawn Jackson, of Macon, with murder in connection with Harris’ death.

This marks the sixth homicide in the month of May in Bibb County and fourth since last Saturday.
