The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is looking for an inmate who fled a local hospital Friday afternoon while he was being treated.

Ha’Keem Romaire Barrett, 20, had been jailed on armed robbery and aggravated assault charges when he was taken to Atrium Health Navicent for “a medical issue,” according to a sheriff’s office press release. While using a restroom, he climbed through the ceiling and escaped to a nearby hallway, then fled the hospital.

Barrett was last seen running toward High Street. According to the sheriff’s office, Barrett is about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 175 pounds. he was last seen wearing a white shirt, white boxer shorts and white socks.
