Local man arrested, charged with murder in fatal downtown Macon shooting
Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies have made an arrest in Tuesday afternoon’s fatal shooting outside the Loaves & Fishes Ministry in downtown Macon.
John Paul Sewell, 30, was arrested Tuesday evening and charged with the murder of 45-year-old Carlos Antonio Gordon. The two were allegedly fighting when Sewell fatally shot Gordon.
Gordon was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Sheriff’s investigators questioned Sewell and then arrested him, charging him with felony murder and aggravated assault. He’s currently being held in the Bibb County jail without bond.
