Macon man shot and killed Wednesday evening on Mercer University Drive

A 37-year-old man was shot and killed along Mercer University Drive near the former Steak ‘n Shake location, according to Bibb County coroner Leon Jones

Jarvis Ottman was shot multiple times and was transported to a local hospital. He was pronounced dead at 5:15 p.m.

The shooting occurred about 4:15 p.m. Wednesday at 3420 Mercer University Drive near the entrance of the mall by the former Steak ‘n Shake restaurant.
