Macon teen killed in shooting on Napier Avenue, Bibb County coroner says

An 18-year-old Macon man was shot to death Tuesday on Napier Avenue, Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said.

The shooting was reported at 5:07 p.m. at 3102 Napier Ave., near the intersection of Hillcrest Boulevard and a Marathon gas mart.

The victim, Shamarian Chatfield, was shot in his upper back and was pronounced dead at a city hospital at 5:37 p.m., the coroner said.
