Man fatally shot on Emory Drive in south Macon, Bibb County coroner says

The man who was reported dead from a gunshot wound in south Macon on Friday evening has been identified.

Joshua Griffin, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Ronnie Miley, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff Office.

Bibb County Sheriff deputies received reports that a person was unresponsive in the roadway on the 4000 block of Emory Drive, according to the release.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said the man was reported shot just after 6 p.m.
