Macon man in critical condition after being cut multiple times in altercation at motel

A man is in critical condition after being cut during a fight in the stairwell of a Macon motel, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s office.

Deputies responded to a report of an assault at the Macon Inn, at 1044 Riverside Drive. Witnesses said two men were fighting in a stairwell. One of the men puled out an unknown sharp object and cut the other man several times. The victim was taken to the hospital.

Henry Ozmond Hodge, 62, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. He is being held at the Bibb County jail.
