Shots fired in Centerville mall parking lot

Several shots were fired in a Centerville Mall parking lot Friday afternoon, police said, but no one was injured.

Houston County Galleria security moved several people outside of the mall after a fight broke out, Centerville Police Chief Chuck Hadden said. At that point, someone fired several shots, although no one was hurt. The police recovered casings and several cars had bullet holes in them, Hadden said.

A black Mercedes seen driving away from shooting was later stopped by Warner Robins police, who detained several individuals, according to Warner Robins assistant chief Chris Rooks. After interviews, detectives determined the six detained individuals were not involved in the shooting, and they were released.

Centerville police are continuing to investigate the incident.
