Suspect arrested in Macon shooting that left 2 dead, 1 child injured early Sunday
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has charged a Macon man with murder in connection with a double homicide early Sunday morning, according to a news release.
Investigators responded to an altercation at 4368 Azalea Drive in Macon just after 1 a.m. The sheriff’s office said Sunday 57-year-old Anthony Green was involved in a shootout with 31-year-old Notorious Williams and 30-year-old Davius Johnson. Witnesses at the scene told deputies that three men pulled guns and began shooting, according to the release.
Williams was pronounced dead at the scene and Johnson was later pronounced dead at the Navicent Medical Center.
A 7-year-old girl was also struck by gunfire and, as of Sunday morning, was undergoing treatment at the Navicent Medical Center. She is in stable condition, according to the Bibb County’s Sheriff’s Office.
Green was arrested at as south Macon home, according to a release from the sheriff’s office. He was taken into custody around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday. He is currently being held without bond, in connection to the murder of Notorious Montreal Williams.
