Macon triple murder suspect may have fled with his 2-year-old son to Gainesville, Florida
The suspect in a triple murder who reportedly kidnapped his 2-year-old son is thought to be in the Gainesville area of Florida as of Wednesday afternoon.
Caesar Zamien Lamar Crockett Jr., 29, was last seen driving a 2007 Pontiac G5 black in color with a temporary Georgia tag of “S0325629” with his 2-year-old son King Crockett in the car, according a sheriff’s office release.
Tuesday night, Crockett got into an altercation with 30-year-old Jamila French, King’s mother.
During the altercation, Crockett reportedly pulled a firearm and shot French’s mother Janet Samuel, 67; her step-father James Samuel, 69; and her sister, Lachasta Childs, 47, multiple times, killing them, the release said.
French, who was not shot, ran out of the home and down the street, Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said. She was treated for injuries sustained in the altercation and released, according to the sheriff’s release.
Crockett is wanted for three counts of murder and for reportedly kidnapping King, according to the sheriff’s office.
The shootings occurred in the shared family home at 571 Moreland Ave., authorities said. The couple was not married, according to the sheriff’s office.
Crockett was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt, black shorts with red and white stripes on the side. He stands 6 feet and 1 inch tall and weighs about 180 to 200 pounds.
The child was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jogging pants with a white stripe on the side and a black and white hoodie with a blue superman logo on the front.
An Amber Alert/Levi’s Call was issued by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
