Two men arrested for stealing auto parts from shop on Pio Nono Ave., deputies say

Bibb County Sheriff deputies arrested two suspects on charges of theft and criminal damage to property Feb. 2 for allegedly stealing catalytic converters off cars.

Chad Nolan Roberson, 30, of Macon, and Seth Clinton Arnold, 28, of Dry Branch, were taken into custody after being found at the Houston Auto Auction on Pio Nono Avenue, according to a news release.

Deputies were called to the business because a suspicious vehicle was parked behind a building.

Deputies found a Ford Mustang behind the building and Roberson under a vehicle cutting the catalytic converter off, according to the release.

After continuing to search the lot, deputies found Arnold under another car cutting the catalytic converter off, police said.

They were both charged with three counts of theft by taking and three counts of criminal damage to property and are being held on a $19,350 bond each, according to the release.
